Elseworld's Finest: Book 2 of 2 by John Francis Moore
3.0
This was a pretty cool concept! I'm not entirely sure what era this is set in but it's interesting.
Clark Kent as a big city reporter. Bruce Wayne as a charming, well travelled adventurer.
The biggest difference is that we have a Bruce Wayne that squandered the family fortune and fled Gotham. He's not a hero, he doesn't champion for the downtrodden and he never adopted a gaggle of kids. It's a really cool take on this character because he becomes the unwilling hero, of sorts, when Lana Lang comes to him for help.
Luthor as a pirate was an interesting take. I'm not sure exactly why Ra's and Talia were dressed the way they were in this world. THe story is okay, I was more interested in the interactions between this version of Clark and Bruce.
Enjoyable enough for me to recommend. I do think it might have been just a tad too long, though.
