Intensely fascinating.

With this being technically my first encounter with non-fiction, this collection of Oliver Sack's essays was mind-blowing. I was intimidated by my lack of knowledge but excited to learn.

The topics in this book are vast. He covers so many things and somehow makes these diverse topics flow together seamlessly in the chapters. Even though I knew basically nothing about anything and went into this entire thing blind, I thankfully did not have information whiplash. He was thorough and made it so easy to follow and become invested in his research.

I loved the balance of his personal findings and the discoveries of scientists both in his field and not. It sparked a lot of thought processes I would not have been privy to. Very excited to say this find was a win.
