Dyed and Gone to Heaven by Aimee Nicole Walker

3.0

The mystery that started in book two finally has it conclusion, and the romance between Josh and Gabe keeps heating up. I am completely in love with Josh and Gabe – they are amazing characters and their antics keep me coming back for more. My favorite parts of this book are the ones with Josh and Gabe bantering with each other and their friends. I wish I could give this book a higher rating, but the writing style is still a little choppy and rough and needs to be smoothed out more. Plus, there’s just a lot of significant details wrong when it comes to the police work. Normally that wouldn’t bother me, but I can tell the author did do research and inserted researched facts into the narrative (probably to build up credibility) but it’s done in a clumsy manner, and that only makes the wrong procedures stand out even more. Those wrong law enforcement procedures probably won’t stand out to anyone who hasn’t worked in the career field, but they keep bugging me. I’m going to continue reading this series because I adore Gabe and Josh, and I can definitely tell that the writing is getting better with each book.
