reginary 's review for:
A Queen of Ice
by Elise Kova
medium-paced
it's ended sweet and good, I kinda liked it.
I don't know why it's always happening this way but like the writers would be confused about how they'd continue, they always make more than half of it blank. The way they continuously go back and forth with circling around in the same spots, like I'm reading the same chapter over and over again, was really boring.
Making some important characters die in some stupid situation which they could easily avoided because they're "strong"; in every book it's like this. Annoying & boring.
Making them stay in limbo just because you think you should discover yourself? Then do that and tell them the outcome rather than continuously f***king them both thinking that the pirate should be like that. Repelling & boring and sometimes it even felt so disgusting.
Some parts of the battle scenes were kinda blur and confusing with all the weird descriptions.
The way she turned so arrogant, self centered and acting like she's using people who called her friends for her benefits because they're on her side and when something happens to them she's all devastated made me unlike her somewhat.
If it were one of the men who treated her like that (remember when she learned that Cullen have to engage with another woman and she learned it and how she'd reacted and she told her to choose for himself) she wouldn't like to be compared with another woman daily basis. But when it's her, somehow they're so comfortable with the idea of her being with two of them and waiting for her.
if her ambitions were making Cullen suffer because of the previous decisions he made, it would go another way and it seems that's not the writer's intention.
And even after that when she learned that Olivin build his life etc. she still thinks manipulating him to go with her??!! You can be happy to see them again but not that. You can't love them both the SAME WAY!! (it could give you pain but you can't force someone)
Alyss going with Yonlin without even seeing that if Eira is well and alive and without even saying a goodbye?? How's she best friend to her after all that fighting she goes off like nothing happened?!
