 This was a very good sweet little book. I liked the subtle retelling references and the development of their friendship into relationship. The “third act breakup” (cuz it was so short and anticlimactic) was not the best and was resolved rather quickly in a very cliche way. I did like the characterization of the side characters as well, like the bi dad and non-binary friend. I also liked the Gaston character in this modern retelling.
