William Shakespeare's Jedi the Last by Ian Doescher

4.0

So here’s the thing: this is the first of the Willy Shakespeare Stars War books that I feel didn’t quite match the power of the film. Which is more of a testament to how much purpose and radness was in the film rather than any indictment against the book.

It’s still great, Doescher still knows exactly what he’s doing. He perfectly captures the emotions that everyone would’ve felt regarding Luke and Leia’s final scenes. Rose is given wonderful due and I can only hope that he keeps up the momentum in the final play, regardless of how TROS shortchanged her. I cannot wait to see how things end in this saga.
