A Certain Hunger is compelling, clever, and extremely well-written. Summers created such a likable unreliable narrator in Dorothy. She makes you laugh while simultaneously describing some of the worst crimes you could commit against another person. This story really isn’t about cannibalism — more so what it means to have power over others and how desire can consume a person.
