It was an interesting read because of its mystery and the dark elements.
Really enjoyed the display of tension and desire. It had a unique magic system that intrigues me but it could have been better explained. I love the idea of the plot and it is very well written. It also loveable characters that I connected with.
About the plot development/pacing: The beginning was really good, very captivating but then it became rather boring and too slow paced for my taste. The pacing of the end was good but I dislike the ending. I feel like a big part of the story has been stretched out way too much just so there could be a book 2.
I liked the story but its not one of my favs.
