The Unveiling of Brielle Davis
by Nissa Leder
Not really sure what to make of this, so I'm giving it a 3 stars.
To start off with, I thought I was going to hate it. Brielle was a typical whiny self-entitled teenager to begin with but I guess she wasn't so bad as the book progressed.
I found the 'I see dead people' part was a more of a sub-plot and it could have been developed more. And of course. The reason why Brielle can see ghosts was a bit weird and didn't make sense to me.
The whole Brielle-Carter-Quinn love triangle drove me crazy. I feel like ex-girlfriends only serve a purpose in contemporary as the villain who's sole goal is make sure the love interest is never happy with another girl and Quinn was a typical example of this.
Overall, it was cute, if frustrating, and the very ending was predictable. Not sure if I'll be picking up the next book.
