My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante
4.0

should be a 5/5 star read but ok
The story follows a young girl coming of age, and we get to see her life unfold through school drama, deep (and often complicated) friendships, the gritty dynamics of her neighborhood, and of course, betrayal and falling in love. The way it’s written is absolutely beautiful and flows so easily. Even though it's kind of thick at around 300+ pages, you barely notice because it’s such a smooth read!
I couldn’t help but get attached to all the characters (even though there are a ton of them—seriously, so many
