Magic Slays
by Ilona Andrews
1st read Sept 7, 2012
No more of the teenage angst romance silliness, that she decided to put in the last book, and back to a Kate Daniel's story with some relation strengthening/building. Very interested in reading the spin offs.

Great Kate Daniels even the second time around. Roman is introduced, I hope he gets a novella, and we get Kate's mother's origins. The big bad this time is an anti-magic group.

So this time I was a bit bored at points, remembered too much maybe. Still this has a lot with the new twist of Kate running her own business, and the relationship and decision making process. Julie becomes a big part of the Kate Daniels world in this one, before this she was expendable as she was just a bit known. She becomes essential as Derek or Jim in this one.

Wasn't bored at all this time. I actually forgot about all the humor at the beginning of the book.
