The Clansman: An Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan by Thomas Dixon

Read for a class.

Fascinating in terms of social/historical constructions of identity, especially in conversation with Ida B Wells’ speeches against lynching Foucault’s Discipline and Punish.

The plot, on the other hand, is one of the most wildly idiotic things I’ve ever read.
