The Farthest Shore by Ursula K. Le Guin

4.0

The Farthest Shore (and the rest of the original Earthsea trilogy) is fun, thought-provoking young adult fantasy. Le Guin's writing is awesome and perfect for the story she's trying to tell, as always. However (also usual for her books), her writing is too perfect...too technical. It's almost like she graduated writing college, and follows to the letter all the rules including the rules that tell you which of the other rules to break.

Still a good, peaceful read, both for the story and for the writing.
