I was a bit afraid it would be old school bodice-ripping But it's not!!It's funny, set in it's time period without having some wierd stereotypes and the chemistry is sizzling and Kristen is awesome without being a harpy! Read it in one night too.
Royce is super reluctant to touch her at first and throughout the book, it's Kristen who drives the narrative. My one major gripe was the issue of the chains and Royce being a stubborn untrusting douche about them. My other issue was the ending parts felt a little abrupt. But none of this took away from my utter enjoyment of reading this book and dang it was so much fun.
