The Sinful King by Claire Contreras

4.0

The book will hold you captivated right from the prologue, where you meet the main characters at a party thrown by the prince in Marbella.

It can be termed a modern-day Cinderella story with lots of twists and swoon-worthy moments.
You can feel the chemistry between the main characters, and it will make you scream, 'This is meant to be'.

The book not only shows us the dynamics of a French royalty (a first read for me) but is also very unconventional, and over time you understand why Claire wrote, 'This is a fairytale. Just go with it'.

I really enjoyed the chemistry and also enjoyed the bits of 'Right Person at the Wrong Time' scenes where Elias was in love with Adeline but was bound to the country, the people, the tradition, and the responsibilities. I also enjoyed that there was no negative or schemey character in the whole plot—a very refreshing book.

Although there were characters that I could not fully connect with because we were given very little time with them,

But it was a great pick and a refreshing read.
