Columbine by Dave Cullen

5.0

One of the harder books I’ll read. Cullen’s attention to detail, methodical and ethical approach in outlining the complex events of Columbine, and organization of facts is exceptional. That is only outdone by his relationships with the survivors and grieving parents. Only a writer with unyielding empathy, love, and care could produce a book this honest and this true to the entire spectrum of emotions that those close to school shootings must endure.

I have true respect for him and his process and am grateful for the knowledge he entrusted us all with in this book.

The epilogue is worth a read as well. He gets to the action we all want to see so books like this don’t have to be written in the future.
