Oh, Alice. I adore your whimsical magic that doesn’t need to be explained — it just is. Of course there is time travel. Of course the main character inherently just knows how to use it. Of course.

More so? Of course books rescue us and open up worlds we need to not only survive, but thrive.

I was loving every second, but I want an ending that leaves more of a reverberating murmur… This felt too abrupt.
