Character Development in the book was fantastic. Chaol and Yrene especially. It was beautiful to see that journey. I appreciated that it wasn’t a love fixes all book but, the sacrifices you would make for someone you love. It was a medium paced book but, I was given a steady stream of important moments to keep me going. I felt the love making scenes were very cringey but, cute and at times very heartfelt and well written. I felt a good amount of world building for a side story novel. I laughed, cried and held my breathe throughout this story. This was the last book I enjoyed in the series. To not read this book in the series is mind boggling to me?!? It’s one of the best written and adds a priceless value to the series as a whole.

By this point I had fallen out of love with the main character and what made me get pulled into the series in the first place. The things working against the series are not needed to mention because it would beg the question of why did you pick up the books in the first place? I read ACOTAR and have Read the CC books as they release. I wanted to go back to read her earliest works. I just read it way to late in my life and it’s unfortunate. Taking myself out of the equation it’s a fantastic series for its age. A fun, Romantic, adventurous series that is well written. Full of many adventures, surprises, magic and unexpected turns.
