House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
3.0
I wanted to love this book.
Truly, I did.
The potential was there: a twisted fairytale involving three sisters, a tale of equal parts urban fantasy and horror...I found myself rushing through some parts and halfway through the book, had already guessed some of the plot twists. If I read yet ANOTHER sentence with the word "gag"...
Like I said, I wanted to love it. It does have a beautiful cover, the story (most of it, anyways) is interesting. Some of the characters aren't likable, but they also don't feel real or human enough (pun intended). The plot is SLOW and when it finally gets somewhere, we are almost reaching the ending.
It could've been better. This book deserves three and a half stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
