Palast aus Glas: Eine Reise durch die Spiegelwelt by Cornelia Funke

5.0

This is an interim book between volumes 3 and 4 of the series. It contains a number of short stories, some of which had been available on the author's website for free in the past.

So this book contains 8 stories, all of which take place in Mirrorworld. They tell of the fae, how Celeste became Fox, what Jacob's first treasure was, and much more. Moreover, we get to see Mirrorworld's versions of London, Stockholm and Hamburg.

Just like in the novels, these short stories are thrilling and enchanting, beautifully written and fast-paced, filled with all kinds of fairytale creatures and magic.

The book cover is utterly beautiful as well what with the shiny golden elements in it:

And just like every other book by this author, this, too, contains numerous gorgeous illustrations that don't just introduce the single stories but also adorn the text within.

Sorry, couldn't resist, I had to show you a few samples (there are many more, small and large).

Wonderful addition to this vast and magnificent world that shouldn't be missing from anyone's collection.
