Honestly ended up enjoying this more than I thought I might. Had a good hook in the beginning. My only complaint is that the writing was a little choppy. I found myself rewinding the audio because I thought “did I miss something” only to learn that I didn’t. And maybe it was just the narrator didn’t pause for the break ups that may be in the physical copy I’m not sure. I’d have to pick up the book to know. The second thing is that I didn’t really get their relationship starting up. She went from “he took me from my brother and everything I love against my will!!” To “damn id fuck him” real quick. Otherwise I liked the story. I liked the plot. The ending had an incredible plot twist. I’m excited to continue the series.
