There is a lot I loved about this book, but it's heavily overshadowed by using some graphic child sexual abuse against a minor character only to serve as a catalyst for a main character to leave a place. The perpetrator was never dealt with, the victims were mentioned in passing once afterwards but not present again. Very uncomfortable and weird to me.
