This is one of those quiet, slow books that slowly crawls itself into your heart. I was a big snotty mess of tears towards the end. Yes, it has an HEA, but it hurt getting there.
Don't even try this book if you need lots of action, events and drama. You won't find any in this one. It's just raw and real and honestly, mundane.
It's also worth a mention that this is a single POV book. Normally I stay away from that in romance books because I'm greedy and I like to know what's going on in both characters heads. But, since I already owned the audiobook (must have picked up during a sale or something 18 months ago), I thought I would give it a shot anyway. It's rare for single POV romances to work for me... but it really did in this one. Plus, given the two MCs, I think it was important we were always in Jimmy's head.
Yeah. Well done. So many feels and deep ones at that.
