Wild Embers: Poems of Rebellion, Fire and Beauty by Nikita Gill

4.0

A beautiful collection that explores the pain of heartache, mental illness, and trauma. I like Gill even though her verse is simplistic and often repetitive. You don’t really need abstract complexity to feel like something echoes your own feelings and experiences. There are some poems in here that I found affirming, almost all of them were touching, and a few made me cry.
