Raven Cursed by Faith Hunter

Wow, this book was intense with lots of intrigue and scary supernatural stuff going on around Jane. She has left New Orleans for North Carolina to help out Rick (one of my least favorite characters). Soon after she is recruited as security for a vampire parlay and gets drawn into a search for two murdering werewolves. Things spiral out from there and Jane is running from one disaster to another trying to keep those she has been hired to and those she cares about safe.

As usual she is amazing, unfortunately she decides to blame herself for everything which is so ridiculous. Some events did probably lead from things she was involved in, but honestly she did not do anything directly wrong.
Noooo Jane, it isn't! You cannot control all the crazy supes who want to kill people, they do have free will.

But still, she and Beast always takes care of business, hers or no.

My other issue is that Jane's interpersonal relationships are often painful to watch. Though my favorite is Angie, her friend's little girl, who is already a powerful witch. Her parents just need to realize blaming others is not exactly a great virtue.

Jane is cool, she really needs to meet some new people! Especially new love interests!! Onto the next.
