A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

4.0

It took me two days to read this book, but there was a gap of two months between the two days. LOL.
The thing that upset me a bit about this was the pace, and the lack of twists and evens compared to the first book. I jumped way too thirsty into this sequel and my expectations were too high. Even though A Gathering of Shadows suffers a little from the second-book-in-a-trilogy-curse a.k.a the second one is usually a bit slow, I still enjoyed it a lot. I LOVE this characters, there was a lot of development expecially on the AMAZING AND WONDERFUL DELILAH BARD, I love the world and the magic and fantasy built by Schwab and I absolute love her writing in this series.

So when I ad all things that a love and compare to the negative point of the pace and a little lack of twists..... I'm gonna go with 4.5 stars. The ending has me begging for the next book and gosh the amount of things I love about this series.... The "negative" points were all extremely worth it.
