there was too much going on in this story for it to be a standalone novel. i thought the concept was interesting at first but then it just seemed like a gimmick since there wasn’t enough time to really flesh it out. i’m still confused on how the whole zombie thing works, on how all of a sudden she’s the chosen one?? like ok. and then she spends her whole life loving one man and then basically instantly falls in love with another after two nights. seth is truly the only redeeming character in this book.
