The Soulmate is a fast-paced domestic drama with plenty of twists and turns to keep you flipping the pages.
It starts out with a bang as a woman falls to her death at “The Drop,” a well-known spot for suicides. It appears to be an accident, but soon, questions are being asked and secrets are being revealed.
The major themes in this novel are mental illness, family secrets, and the reality that things are not often as they appear.
For me, it was an enjoyable read in the sense that I couldn’t wait to put it down, but it left me feeling uneasy, and for that reason I wouldn’t necessarily rush to wisely recommend it as a must read.
