I picked up this book because my sibling loved it. I'd already postponed it for months bc I don't like dragon books. At least, that's what I thought.
This was actually a really good book. It's really well phased and so much happened. I was rooting for that slowly building relationship from early on too. It really kept the tension up. Toxic af and acknowledged, but it works in books waayy to well.
The beginning gave me divergent book 1 vibes with the training sequences and love interest, just with more violence.
I also loved all the surprises I didn't see coming.
So yes just finished this a minute ago and yes yes yes next book is a must read indeed.
