A Rule Against Murder by Louise Penny

4.0

I loved this book. Had taken a break from Louise Penney, and fell in love again with her characters. I think I was a bit relieved that it took place outside the main village in her stories, Three Pines. It was beginning to be a bit creepy that there were so many clever murders there.

The characters were enthralling, complex, and interesting. Enjoyed the story, enjoyed the outcome. Was fine with the bits of uncertainty she leaves you with.

Ready to keep reading about Armand Gamache. Love learning about French Canada ... there were some historical references in this story that I, as an American who never had Canadian history, had never heard of and loved learning.
