Dead Man Walking by Paul Finch

4.0

Not the most unpredictable plot for a crime novel I've ever read and not the most original culprit. However, the murders themselves kept me reading as their brutality was both shocking and weird enough to make me wonder how they could be topped. The spoiler is, they aren't topped at all. Everything good and interesting happens in the first half of this book, the second half seems to simply be a general cat and mouse game and I found it less interesting. Having said all that however, I haven't read a novel that quickly in a long time and if someone gave me a different Heck book, I'd absolutely give it an afternoon of my time.
