Dune by Frank Herbert

I liked this book.
I had not heard about Dune before the movie, so when I watched the movie trailer, I began doing a little more research about the story, and I found out that there were books. I read several reviews about it, and they were overall positive. So, when I finally watched the movie and liked it, I bought the book, and a few months ago I started reading it.

The book has a great plot, I liked the idea of a feudal system in space and how Earth is not even mentioned for most of the story. I am not going to lie, there were some cliches in the story, like the prophecy of the chosen one, and how just a group of people knows about this prophecy because this person is going to help them thrive and take over the galaxy, or at least to make Arrakis a paradise.

The part about treason is one of the chapters I liked the most.

I am eager to continue reading this book series even though several reviews suggest to stop reading the series with this book.
