City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

4.0

This was my favorite in the trilogy when I first read it and it does hold up for the most part. It does not rate as highly as when I first read it, but it’s still a very solid book and I enjoy how it shifts the series. It has some MAJOR exposition issues, and certain plot points feel forced, in addition to some dialogue. Clary annoys me more than normal in this, but it’s balanced (at least in the first half) by the additional povs. I enjoy the conversations about parenting and how parent-child relationships can be largely influential. I like a lot of what this book brings to the table as a whole.
