GOOD!

This duology is so great. It's always nice to be reminded that middle grade fiction can throat punch as hard as any other age group.

The continuation of Ada's story deals with grief, family, and trauma just as well as the first book. The way the author uses small moments and details to make huge emotional impacts, and draws flawed, realistic character growth is painful and lovely and amazing.
