The Overtime Kiss
by Lauren Blakely
🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book started off in such a way that I somehow managed to slap myself in the face with my ponytail when I whipped my head to glare at my jeep console (because that would totally help me glare at those that had the mother effing AUDACITY). After that I was clearly hooked and completely invested in seeing this FMC get her HEA. With two adorable kids, foster kitties and an amazing found family, this book had everything I love. I loved not only the obvious sparks between the two main characters, but the bond that the FMC forged with the two children. Overall, this was a great romance and a really good listen.
❤️ Tropes ❤️
💋 hockey romance
💋 single dad/nanny
💋 hockey player/figure skater
Sabrina Snow was meant to be getting married, but instead is now getting drunk next to Tyler Falcon, the star hockey player. That led to the night that is only referred to as the night of 1001 confessions. Anything else is too embarrassing. Later as she is making her own way, fighting to make her life her own without any assistance, she lands the job as Tyler’s nanny. As she spends more time with Tyler and the kids, it is very apparent that Tyler remembers every word that she blurted out that night. As the attraction grows between them, he offers to help fix some of those confessions. Suddenly there is a list of items in a little notebook that they are checking off when the kids aren’t home and sneaking around. But things can’t last like this and sneaking around tends to lead to getting caught.
