This is one of the best introductions to the topic and I am really debating wether to give this five stars. I think if you want to learn about the topic maybe especially as a male specimen this might be one of the best starting points.
It reads kinda effortlessly, but is not just an anecdote that is written in a nice way. It combines anecdotes of the authors life with actual theory, there are sources and notes and a lot of the classic authors I know and love are in there (from Beauvoir to Sonntag and Woolf).
Often the anecdotes are also not line one of a kind things but the stuff you will see over and over again in the literature. So yeah there is really nothing I can fault here.
Good stuff, 4,5/5, would wholeheartedly recommend.
