Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
5.0

This book gave me all the feels and made me cry...2018 is off to a good start.

I received Foolish Hearts in my December OwlCrate box and as is one of my 2018 bookish goals I have vowed to read subscription book boxes as I get them. Honestly I don't know if I would have picked this up otherwise which would have been a real damned shame because I LOVE this book so much! It's going on my faves list and if I can ever crawl out from under my never ending tbr I will definitely reread it again. Emma Mills is going on my list of must read contemporary authors.

Claudia was so relatable, the whole time I was just like am I reading about myself? If I had to pick a book character to be me it would definitely be her. I mean she has her life a bit more together than me but otherwise it's like looking in a mirror.

And can we just give it up to all the supporting characters?

All the relationships in this book were excellent. Claudia's family played an active role and we really got to know them. Her best friend Zoe felt like a real best friend right off the bat, their friendship was so easy to pick up on. The tentative relationship between Claudia and Iris was wonderfully done. And don't even get me started on my sweet boy Gideon and his relationships.

Speaking of Gideon...I would like to claim him as my boyfriend. He's everything I ever wanted, sweet, precious, goofy...I love him so much. And like girl, come on, how did you not know.

Another thing I loved was all these different elements. You had your theater which was stated in the synopsis but the fam was all into this online fantasy roleplay game and I loved how they all played together and the friends got in on it. And not to mention fangirls represent in the most unlikely of forms. I was living for the boyband obsession.
