Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola
3.0

This was a quick listen, narrated by the superb [a:Kate Winslet|594944|Kate Winslet|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/f_50x66-6a03a5c12233c941481992b82eea8d23.png] from audible's a-list collection. I can see where at the time of publication of this novel, it would have been groundbreaking. The after effects of a horrible action take their toll and we see the deterioration of the characters. This plot has been revisited many times since and there really wasn't anything that surprised or shocked me about this novel. However, it is a well written classic.
