this was unlike anything I’ve ever read.
the stream of consciousness style made it really easy to read (and also hard to put down at times) despite tackling such big themes like religion and art and love and even existentialism. I was so touched by this especially by the way in which all the suffering was channeled into this really beautiful product and how he still managed to find meaning in pain. to remain hopeful. to find treasure in the darkest places. to make his suffering into something so memorable —> this book. another proof of his genius and how he is a true artist.
sorry for being dramatic but reading this I felt like my heart was ripped out but then also put back in, a little more tender than before.
I could quote so many passages but I’ll leave it at:

“Do not be afraid. The supreme vice is shallowness. Everything that is realized is right.”
