Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell

dark slow-paced

2.0

the author believes he didn't write the indigenous characters poorly, but he's wrong. They still had stereotypes and the characters were simply used as a vehicle to help the main character. They fell flat and were one-dimensional (along with a majority of the characters.) To then pat himself on the back at the end of the book for what he perceived as respectfully created characters was strange and gross.
