Kind of a bummer tbh! As I’ve written, I’ve been on my EH kick, but this one didn’t hold up quite as well. I didn’t feel like I was on my imaginary Nantucket vacation and instead felt like I was in between some nonsensical family drama. Although family’s can fight over ANYTHING, I didn’t buy into their main conflicts/ strife. Nor did I buy the fact that they both had to split up to live with their individual parent and relegated themselves to the corresponding island. Despite these issues, this was still a cute read and while I wouldn’t recommend it as a starter EH novel, it’s great to fill the void while the others are on hold from your library.
