A Grief Observed
by C.S. Lewis
It’s an important note that at the time this was written Lewis was not a believer. I was told to read this book for comfort in dealing with the loss of my grandfather. I found no comfort in Lewis’ words. His angry ramblings at God are extremely upsetting. I also did not relate to Lewis’ pain because this book is about his dead wife; a very different type of loss. Generally, I like Lewis’ writings but will never recommend this one. Quite a pointless read in my opinion unless to show you how a non Christian grieves.
