Set in future Paris, now called The Sunken City. Humans failed by technology and elements beyond our control. A new power struggle. A forced engagement. Pretty much your typical sci-fi/dystopian novel--and that's why I enjoyed it! Though some parts were slow and dragged out, I ultimately liked the main character, Sophia Bellamy, as well as the many plot twists that kept me guessing. I also liked the author's writing style when she heightened the tension and switched between characters' points of view in the same chapter. Good read.
