Wow. I expected to be disturbed but I did not expect such beautiful prose! I highlighted so many quotes in this book, something I don’t typically do. I found myself on the edge of tears, laughing out loud or screaming in anger multiple times throughout. While I was thinking of the musical the whole time and comparing it, I’d say this was great in different ways. Very dark, but powerful and such an incredible concept.
