Middlemarch by George Eliot

4.0

Middlemarch has been in my TBR for nearly a decade and at my age I need to stop leaving books there so long. Now that I’ve read it, I have to wonder why it took so long. I mean, yes, 880 pages - but a really great 880 pages. Sure, it’s an older book but filled with dynamic characters- some annoying, some lovable, many of them full of angst. I read somewhere it’s a book about people trying to find meaning in their lives. I would add that they are also trying to figure out how to not be miserable.
