History of a Pleasure Seeker by Richard Mason

2.0

The book is easy to read and it's as diverting as a daydream, but it fails to live up to the promise of it's title. Yes, there are a couple of orgasms and it is set in a sumptuous mansion and ocean liner; but the main character is not so much a pleasure seeker as a young man from a disadvantaged background on the make. He does pretty well for himself, but there are plenty of others who take advantage of him along the way. The book even fails to end properly, promising that it will be continued. Mason and his character will have to go on without me.
