EXCITED! Andrew Smith Favourite and RT in Twitter my review of my blog

Nothing ever goes back Exactly the way it was, That things expand and contract like breathing, but You Could never fill your lungs up With The same air twice - Ryan Dean West

I had been hoping to have this book in my hands with many cravings until one day I found myself in a bookstore in LA called The Last Bookstore (one of the best bookstores where I've been). In this bookstore they sell new and used books, and in this case Winger was used and forgotten in the middle of a lot of books in the Young Adult section, I saw it and immediately wanted to know how expensive it was and that's where I was surprised, it cost $ 4 and normally costs $ 17. In that moment a very special person bought me the book and I was so happy and so anxious that i started to flipping through thew pages and then I found a second surprise. It was signed by Andrew Smith the author of Winger. I don’t know who would leave this amazing book autographed by the author, but i’m thankful and very happy so thanks Ted (name to which it is dedicated to) for letting this book get to my hands.

Opinion
At first I thought, like many, that the book would be the story of a boy who suffer from bullying all the time and how he would deal with it, and the first pages begin that way but after that the character grows from the very first pages and that's fascinating. It is a book that made me go from laughing to crying (a little), I loved it from start to finish and really didn’t want to finish it, wanted it to last longer but I finished it quickly because it is an easy read that surely will get you more than one smile.

The bad
- In the book the words "pervert" and "loser" are very repeated and I know that many people didn’t like it but I feel it makes more real the character, see how he feel and not paint him as a "good" boy who doesn’t think about sex (that the true. Get over it).

The good
- The characters and the rhythm of the story are perfectly well built.
- It is an easy read and you end up wanting more.
- It has very cute and funny quotes.
- There are rumors (it is almost a fact) that will come out a second part called Stand-Off where Andrew Smith will continue telling the story of Ryan Dean.

Rating

5/5 One of my favorite books without any doubt.
