I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

challenging dark emotional funny hopeful inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

4.0

My second autobiography of the year and I think I'm really getting in to this as a genre. I really enjoyed listening to this one - I think it elevates the story as it's being read by the person who wrote it. Jennette McCurdy perfectly encapsulates what it means to be a recovering people pleaser, especially when it comes to protecting your family in a way that resonated with me a lot.
