Fauci by Michael Specter

emotional hopeful informative reflective fast-paced

4.5

A definite must read for anyone who wants to get to understand Fauci's work on all the pandemics he has worked on. This book covers his work on HIV/AIDs, SARS, Flu viruses, and COVID. It shows the progress Fauci made and the changes that took place to get him to where he is today, to understand why he is such a respected voice in infectious disease work.

This book is also recommended for anyone who criticizes Fauci, suggesting he doesn't know what he's talking about or that he makes mistakes. This book illustrates clearly the methodology taken place to deal with outbreaks and Fauci's role.

This book confirmed my already high respect for Dr. Fauci and it also gave be a better understanding of infectious disease and vaccine development.
