The second installment of Peyton Corinne's The Undone series, Unloved follows Ro and Freddy, the best friends of Unsteady's Sadie and Rhys. Like Unsteady, Unloved is emotional, funny, romantic, and tackles more difficult topics with authenticity.

Unloved's FMC, Ro, is beautiful, sensitive, and so relatable. Her desire to belong and to be wanted resonated with me so deeply. Her insecurities and anxiety hit close to home for me - there is a moment when Sadie comes home angry and Ro is running through every possible way she could have made Sadie mad at her; only to learn that Sadie isn't upset with Ro at all. This moment really made me feel seen as a chronic people please like Ro.

The way that Corinne tackles the sensitive topic of Freddy's grief and desire to be loved for more than his body feels very authentic and real, in a way that I think is challenging for some authors to accomplish.

ALSO - I have never wanted to punch a book character in the face as much as I wanted to punch Tyler, Ro's ex. He sucked.
